News...

The good news is...I'm 29 weeks and measuring 29 centimeters! I passed the sugar test and my iron levels are good! I continue to really like Dr. G. Baby's heartbeat was 150 (my heart rate was a little elevated from drinking the orange stuff and trying to get to the appointment as fast as I could). Baby G was laying across my belly, with the head on my left side and the feet on my right side. Maybe that's why I had a side ache in my left side all afternoon!

The bad news is...I have to get a giant shot. My blood type is negative, so if the baby's blood type happens to be positive, my body will build up "warriors" to fight the wrong blood. This baby will be fine, but any future babies that would have a positive blood type would not make it. So, in a couple of weeks I have to go to the lab at the hospital to double check my blood type and then go to my Dr.'s office to get poked.

In other news, we're all signed up for our childbirth and breastfeeding classes and Aunt Linda has started planning our first baby shower! We made the trek to Babies 'R Us and set ourselves a time limit in the store, so we didn't get too overwhelmed. Dr. G. suggested starting to get diapers and everything ready - just in case - so I've been looking at cloth diaper options. I think we'll go with good old prefolds and some kind of cover.

Construction is underway on our downstairs bedroom, so I've been looking at wall and ceiling covering options and feeling overwhelmed by all of those decisions that have to be made.

We've moved up to visiting the doctor every two weeks instead of four, so time keeps marching on!
